- and other variables, such as ceilings and stairs
- materials needed
- Journey

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO COMPLETE A MURAL?
The amount of time it takes to complete a mural depends on the mural. We know that your schedule is important; so we provide an estimate of time before the paint hits the wall.
A typical 3.5m x 2.5m wall (12' x 9'ft)
It can last from 5 to 15 days or more, all depending on the number of details.
DO YOU PAINT ON WALLS OR CANVAS AS WELL AS ON OTHER SURFACES?
We can paint your mural either directly on the wall, or on durable synthetic fabric, previously prepared.
1. Murals painted on canvas
The canvas murals are painted in the studio of Nestor® Murals and then shipped to your home/business. They install like giant pieces of wallpaper. Since the mural is painted off-site, it is very convenient for you. It only takes a few hours to hang the finished canvas. If you would like to see the progress of the mural, we will email you photos to keep you up to date. The other advantage of having your mural painted on canvas is that you can remove the mural from the wall, should you decide to relocate and reinstall it in your new space.
All that is required is that your walls be primed with a wall coating primer prior to placement, for superior adhesion.
2. Murals painted directly on the wall
Some murals, on the other hand, are best painted on site. This would be best for some exterior murals, niches or oddly shaped walls, or simple "traditional" murals (like some flowers or letters painted across a room).
WHAT KIND OF PAINTS DO YOU USE?
For most murals, a high-quality acrylic paint is used and guaranteed to last for many years without chipping, fading or fading. This paint is very durable and can be washed with soap and water without being removed. If a mural is in a space with elements of extreme temperature or humidity (such as kitchens, bathrooms, and outdoors), a clear top coat is recommended as the final stage. In some cases, oil paint or exterior paint may be used. This will depend on the needs of the project.
HOW SHOULD I PREPARE MY WALLS FOR A MURAL?
In order to finally guarantee a beautiful piece of art, the walls must be free of holes, dents, dirt or debris. If a wall finish or an imitation (faux finishes)
is being painted directly onto the wall, the wall should have a clean coat of latex paint (color can be determined before starting).
DO YOU TRAVEL?
We are happy to travel. While Nayarit, Jalisco, Sinaloa and Mexico City are our base of operation in Mexican territory, Los Angeles, Orange County and Southern California are the base of our operation in the United States of America, we will go almost anywhere. In some cases, we will meet at your location for an in-person consultation. Otherwise, we can make a telephone or email consultation.
We will compile a sketch and estimate, we just ask that you send photos and measurements of your space by email.
