Acquire Work for your Private Collection

His work skilfully brings together a syncretism of worlds and dreams essential in Surrealism, symbology and metaphor. In protest art and costumbrismo; Nestor (Tito) Chavez®, recreates the uses and customs of regional and Mexican history, a work full of strength in color, shape and ever-present symbols that evoke and speak in all languages, transmitting in each brushstroke a torrent of the most diverse emotions and messages that reach the reason and the heart of the viewer, tenacious, firm and forceful where the proposals raised in his works and his murals have to reach.

costumbrismo

Costumbrismo is an artistic trend or movement that claims that the work of art is an exhibition of the uses and social customs. The genre scene is a type of artistic work, mainly pictorial, in which normal people are represented in everyday scenes, from the street or from private life, contemporary to the author.
What distinguishes the genre scene is that it represents scenes of daily life, such as markets, interiors, parties, taverns, and streets. Such depictions may be realistic, imaginary, highly expressive, or embellished by the artist.

Surrealism

Art is a metaphorical world par excellence since using materials it expresses spiritual aspects that delight or please us. The metaphor gives the artist wings to fly, to be able to express the inexpressible, the world of dreams; Between the conscious and the unconscious, there is an intermediate, subliminal world. In the surreal metaphor, two images that mean several things at the same time come together. "Whoever plunges into the depths of art, in search of invisible treasures, works to raise that spiritual pyramid that will reach the sky."

Protest art / Expressionism

Art, in today's society, must be a powerful call to action, where creators become actively and effectively involved in and with the problems that affect their fellow citizens. The time of the artist –romantic genius- locked in his studio waiting for inspiration to arrive has passed: inspiration is in the street. Truly social art must be an interstice that opens gaps through which social and political issues come to the fore, because art, in the 21st century, will be social or it will not be.
In the last decades of the 20th century, especially in Latin America, the special political circumstances made artists, both individual and organized in collectives, get involved, arm in arm with other citizens, in the political struggle.

Mexican indigenous art, Ethnic groups of Mexico.

The indigenous peoples of Mexico are the communities that assume an ethnic identity based on their culture, their institutions and a history that defines them as the autochthonous peoples of the country, descendants of Mesoamerican societies.
The arts and religious traditions of their roots are still present to this day, the native peoples keep the patent of their crafts from generation to generation.
